We Have A Theory.

Our theory is that our corporate biographies and resumes don't really mean all that much.

Our theory is that HOME should be The Center of The Universe!

Michael and I have done it all (well, a whole hell-ofa-lot of it anyway), and you know what? It doesn't matter. In the past we traded memories of our family life for corporate memories. Vacations and birthdays for work, missed school events, missed sports achievements, missed PTA meetings(yeah they matter!) - and just plain old "mommy I missed you today's" with our kids. We traded it for memories with our office mates and often resented overtime and deadlines -and all for what???

Home should be the center of the universe and work/commute absolutely should not take up two thirds of the day with family time coming in last after sleep.

Home cooked meals of REAL FOOD should be more important than the bosses next big project or profit margins and shareholders. Homework and learning together actually do matter.

When I was a stockbroker in NYC, my three year old would say "I want to come to work mommy. I promise to play nice and be quiet so your boss won't get mad. Then I can ride the X bus(express bus) home with you and I can sit with you by the window." You KNOW how that made me feel.

Even when I worked for myself later on, the work still took too much of me and the return wasn't enough. I was always trying to break through to the next level so I could take more time off and do more vacations and family time. What I wouldn't give to help as many families as possible make that shift while their children are still preschool and elementary school age. It matters. It matters more than you know.

Michael says the kids school days for him were like a blur of time rushing by as they lived their lives and he worked on the road selling and building a business where the budget didn't include hotel rooms for the wife and kids. His was a lonely life. He was gone far too frequently in the pursuit of benefits, bigger checks, sales quotas, and new business to make the company look better to investors. Does he regret it? YOU BET HE DOES!

We gave up so much more than we knew for the careers that took us from our kids and homes and gave very little in return of what really matters in the long run. Hindsight is indeed 20/20.

With all our experience and awakening, we became more determined to find a home based business with enormous income potential that would utilize our business and leadership expertise, and pay us what we are worth!

Our families laughed and said "lotsa luck". We kept looking and kept the faith. That wasn't easy to do.

We looked diligently for three years and tried several different home based businesses, including real estate renovations. While we were at it, the bottom fell out of the real estate market and we lost almost everything when the houses we bought and renovated sat in a lifeless real estate market like a ship with no wind in it's sails. That really hurt. We came pretty close to going under and were hanging on for dear life when by grace, we found what we'd been looking for. Our time had arrived and we saw it for what it was and jumped on it because we really were READY!

It never occurred to us not to do it. We knew it would require focus, diligence, and commitment. We weren't looking for "pie in the sky". We knew we had to be leaders and also willing to be lead; confident, self motivated, and people oriented. We had to be willing to assume we didn't know everything! We knew this business wasn't for everyone yet it was exactly what we had dreamed of and even more!

See, we did so many different things in our search, and we are true entrepreneurs forever. No more corporate jobs for us. We are done with the rat race- we are also students of life. We have both been open to growth and learning from our mistakes.

What was missing was the right self-employment, growth-oriented, business that would let us be our best selves and make the most money possible while working from home or wherever we happen to be- on OUR SCHEDULE. Bingo!!

We know we are among the happiest people in the world right now-hanging with the top 20% who live dream lives and make CEO income. We have all the support we need and we are part of a team that has promised to be there for us and with us. As you listen to their stories, think about your story. Like you, we can't change the past. What we can do is create a better future, a better model for our adult kids and grand-kids. BE-DO-HAVE. We had a vision and we didn't give up on it. Now it's coming true. Who could ask for more?
